Clear Childcare Terms for Families and MET-EIS
MET-EIS 保育園 provides childcare in Fuji City under 株式会社 Fledge Japan. These Terms explain the general conditions for using our childcare services and are intended to create clear expectations for families and the facility.
Because childcare requires child-specific safety, health, attendance, pickup, payment, and consent information, these Terms are used together with the applicable enrollment documents, Fees & Enrollment information, health/safety forms, and other service-specific agreements. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or protection that cannot lawfully be waived.
SECTION 01
Operator and Scope
These Terms of Service apply to childcare services provided by MET-EIS 保育園 and operated by 株式会社 Fledge Japan / Fledge Japan Co., Ltd. MET-EIS operates as an unlicensed childcare facility (認可外保育施設) in Fuji City, Shizuoka, subject to applicable notification, safety, recordkeeping, information-disclosure, and supervisory requirements under Japanese law.

These Terms cover regular childcare, temporary or one-time childcare, recurring temporary childcare, extended care when offered, family communication, childcare-related activities, and other services expressly accepted by MET-EIS.
SECTION 02
Agreement, Enrollment Documents, and Order of Priority
By applying for, enrolling a child in, reserving, purchasing, or using MET-EIS childcare services, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms and to the service-specific documents applicable to the child.
MET-EIS may use separate documents, including the Fees & Enrollment page, enrollment agreement, attendance schedule, health and infection-control agreement, medication procedure, allergy information, emergency contact and medical-consent forms, authorized-pickup information, late-pickup rules, photo/video consent, and other required notices.
If a specific signed or expressly accepted service document validly differs from these general Terms, the more specific document applies to that matter. Mandatory Japanese law always takes priority. A general inquiry or facility visit alone does not create an enrollment contract.
SECTION 03
Eligibility, Parent/Guardian Authority, and Enrollment
Enrollment is completed by a parent, legal guardian, or other person legally authorized to make decisions for the child. The applicant must provide complete and accurate information reasonably required for safe childcare, billing, emergency response, communication, and administrative procedures.
Acceptance is subject to available capacity, staffing, operating schedule, the child’s age and care needs, required documentation, payment arrangements, and MET-EIS’s reasonable ability to provide the requested care safely and appropriately. MET-EIS may request a meeting, trial/settling-in visit, additional information, or professional documentation when reasonably necessary to plan safe care.
MET-EIS may decline an application where capacity is unavailable, required information is not provided, the requested service is outside the facility’s operational scope, or safe care cannot reasonably be arranged. Decisions will not be made on a basis prohibited by applicable law.
SECTION 04
Childcare Services and Educational Approach
MET-EIS provides childcare based on Japanese childcare principles together with an English-immersion environment. Daily activities may include play, routines, songs, stories, movement, creative activities, social interaction, age-appropriate learning, and English exposure.
Activities are adjusted according to children’s age, development, wellbeing, interests, group needs, staffing, weather, safety, and facility conditions. Participation in MET-EIS does not guarantee a particular developmental, language, academic, or behavioral outcome.
MET英会話教室 is a separate service. If a child also joins an Eikaiwa lesson or after-school English program, the applicable Eikaiwa enrollment terms, schedule, and fees apply separately unless a written package expressly states otherwise.
SECTION 05
Reservations, Schedules, Capacity, and Service Availability
Childcare is provided only during the operating times, care windows, and service categories currently offered by MET-EIS. Availability may differ by day, time, child age, staffing level, and the number of children already booked.
A requested date or schedule is not guaranteed until MET-EIS confirms it. Parents/guardians should follow the applicable reservation procedure and should not assume that a recurring place, temporary-care slot, extended period, or schedule change is available until confirmed.
MET-EIS may reasonably adjust room assignments, daily activities, staffing arrangements, or internal routines when necessary for safety, lawful staffing, child wellbeing, or operational continuity.
SECTION 06
Fees, Billing, Payment, and Additional Charges
Current childcare fees, applicable time blocks, recurring-care rates, one-time/temporary-care rates, registration or administrative charges, and other published charges are stated on the current Fees & Enrollment page, enrollment documents, booking confirmation, or invoice.
Parents/guardians must pay the confirmed amount by the stated due date and approved payment method. Any additional charge for extra care time, after-closing care, meals, materials, special activities, or another optional service will apply only when it has been disclosed or agreed in advance, except where immediate child-safety needs reasonably require action.
MET-EIS will not impose an undisclosed mandatory charge. If a payment becomes overdue, MET-EIS may contact the parent/guardian, request prompt payment, or suspend future non-emergency reservations after reasonable notice, subject to the child’s safety and applicable law.
SECTION 07
Temporary, One-Time, Recurring, and Regular Childcare
MET-EIS may offer different childcare arrangements, including one-time temporary care, recurring temporary care, regular attendance, and longer daily care periods. Each arrangement is subject to the fee table and conditions in effect when the service is confirmed.
A recurring arrangement reserves care according to the agreed pattern but does not create ownership of a particular classroom place beyond the agreed contract period. Changes in attendance frequency, daily hours, or service category require MET-EIS confirmation and may change the applicable fee.
One-time care is limited to the specific confirmed date and time. Recurring or regular care may require additional enrollment, health, emergency, payment, and schedule documents before the first day of attendance.
SECTION 08
Attendance, Absence, Schedule Changes, and Cancellations
Parents/guardians should notify MET-EIS as early as reasonably possible when a child will be absent, late, picked up early, or needs a schedule change. Notice should be given through the communication method designated by the facility.
For temporary childcare reservations, unless a different written condition was disclosed for a particular booking:
- Cancellation by the previous business day: no cancellation charge;
- Same-day cancellation: 50% of the booked childcare charge;
- No notice / no-show: 100% of the booked childcare charge; and
- Where lunch or another separately ordered item has already been prepared or billed, that charge may still be payable.
Recurring or regular childcare may have a different notice procedure stated in the enrollment or fee policy. A missed booking does not automatically create a right to a substitute day.
If MET-EIS cancels confirmed paid care for a reason within its control, MET-EIS will provide an appropriate remedy under the applicable agreement and law.
SECTION 09
Arrival, Pickup, Authorized Persons, and Late Pickup
Children must be brought to and collected from MET-EIS in accordance with the facility’s check-in, handover, and pickup procedures. The parent/guardian must provide current information identifying persons authorized to collect the child.
MET-EIS will not knowingly release a child to an unauthorized person. Staff may request identification or confirmation before release. If a person appears unable to take safe custody of the child, MET-EIS may take reasonable child-safety measures, including contacting another authorized person or appropriate authorities when necessary.
Parents/guardians must collect the child by the confirmed end time. Late-pickup or after-closing charges, when applicable, are governed by the current Fees & Enrollment page and the childcare agreement. Repeated late pickup may lead to a review of the child’s care arrangement.
SECTION 10
Illness, Infection Control, and When a Child Must Stay Home
Parents/guardians must follow MET-EIS illness and infection-control procedures and must not knowingly bring a child when attendance would create an unreasonable health or infection risk to the child, other children, or staff.
MET-EIS may ask a family to keep a child at home, collect the child promptly, or obtain appropriate medical confirmation when reasonably necessary due to fever, vomiting, diarrhea, significant symptoms, suspected infectious disease, injury, unusual condition, or other health concerns, consistent with facility policy and applicable public-health guidance.
Parents/guardians must promptly inform MET-EIS of relevant diagnoses, infectious-disease exposure, changes in health status, or other information needed for safe childcare. The facility’s separate illness/infection-control agreement applies together with this section.
SECTION 11
Medication, Allergies, Food, and Dietary Safety
Parents/guardians must disclose all known allergies, food restrictions, medication needs, and other health information that may affect safe care. Information must be updated promptly when circumstances change.
Medication will be accepted or administered only under MET-EIS’s current medication procedure and within the facility’s lawful and operational capacity. Required written instructions, original packaging, dosage information, and/or medical documentation may be requested. MET-EIS may refuse to handle medication that cannot be safely or lawfully managed.
Where meals or snacks are provided or permitted, MET-EIS will take reasonable precautions based on information supplied by the family and the facility’s procedures. Unless expressly confirmed in writing, MET-EIS cannot guarantee an absolutely allergen-free environment.
SECTION 12
Emergency Care, Accidents, Injury, and Medical Response
If a child becomes seriously ill, is injured, or experiences another emergency, MET-EIS may take reasonable steps necessary to protect the child, including first aid, contacting the parent/guardian, calling emergency services, following emergency procedures, and cooperating with medical or public authorities.
Parents/guardians must maintain reachable emergency contacts and promptly update telephone numbers or authorized contacts. If an emergency contact cannot be reached, MET-EIS may continue to take reasonable action required for the child’s immediate safety.
Any separate emergency-treatment, medical-consent, accident-reporting, or insurance procedures apply together with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms authorizes treatment beyond what is permitted by law and the circumstances of the emergency.
SECTION 13
Earthquakes, Severe Weather, Disasters, and Facility Closures
MET-EIS may temporarily close, delay opening, shorten operating hours, suspend an activity, or change procedures when reasonably necessary because of earthquakes, tsunami risk, severe weather, fire, public-health emergencies, utility failure, building problems, government instructions, transport disruption, staff-safety issues, or another event affecting safe operation.
During an emergency, MET-EIS will prioritize children’s immediate safety and follow the facility’s disaster and emergency-response procedures. Parents/guardians must follow pickup, communication, evacuation, and reunification instructions issued for the event.
Fee treatment for an emergency closure will be determined according to the applicable enrollment agreement, the circumstances, and mandatory law. MET-EIS will communicate material closures or changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
SECTION 14
Child Safety, Supervision, Guidance, and Conduct
MET-EIS uses developmentally appropriate supervision, redirection, calm guidance, clear boundaries, and positive communication to support children’s safety and participation. Physical punishment, humiliating treatment, and other inappropriate discipline are not part of MET-EIS’s childcare approach.
Parents/guardians and visitors must follow reasonable facility safety rules, treat children and staff respectfully, and avoid threatening, violent, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or dangerously disruptive conduct.
If a child’s behavior presents a recurring safety concern, MET-EIS will, where practicable, discuss appropriate support with the family. Care arrangements may be reviewed if the facility cannot reasonably maintain safe care for the child or group within its staffing and operational capacity.
SECTION 15
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities and Accurate Information
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information relevant to the child’s care, including emergency contacts, authorized pickup persons, health information, allergies, dietary restrictions, developmental or support needs relevant to safety, and changes in family circumstances that affect collection or legal authority.
Parents/guardians must read and follow applicable facility notices and respond promptly when MET-EIS requests information reasonably required for safe care, legal compliance, billing, or government procedures.
If important information is intentionally withheld or materially inaccurate and this prevents safe service provision, MET-EIS may require revised care arrangements or suspend future care where reasonably necessary and lawful.
SECTION 16
Clothing, Personal Belongings, Supplies, and Lost Property
Children should arrive with clothing and supplies suitable for the planned care period, weather, toileting needs, rest, outdoor play, and activities, as communicated by MET-EIS. Items should be labeled where practical.
Parents/guardians should not send unnecessary valuables, dangerous items, medication outside the approved procedure, or belongings unsuitable for group childcare. MET-EIS may store or remove an item from a child’s reach when reasonably necessary for safety.
MET-EIS will take reasonable care of children’s belongings but cannot guarantee against ordinary loss, mix-up, wear, or damage inherent in group childcare. Any responsibility for loss caused by MET-EIS will be determined under applicable law and the circumstances.
SECTION 17
Photographs, Video, Audio, Names, and Parent Recording
Agreement to these Terms does not by itself authorize public promotional use of a child’s identifiable photograph, video, voice, name, work, or testimonial. Public website, social-media, advertising, or promotional use will be handled through separate consent where required.
MET-EIS may use photographs or records for legitimate internal childcare, documentation, safety, or family-communication purposes only in accordance with the Privacy Policy, applicable consent, and facility procedures.
Parents/guardians and visitors must not publicly post identifiable images, audio, or video of other children, families, or staff obtained at MET-EIS without appropriate permission.
SECTION 18
Privacy, Records, and Communications
Personal information is handled according to the MET-EIS 保育園 Privacy Policy and applicable Japanese privacy law. Childcare records may include attendance, emergency contacts, authorized pickup persons, health/allergy information, incident records, payment information, communications, and other information reasonably required for operation and safety.
MET-EIS may communicate by telephone, email, messaging service, website notice, written notice, or another method provided or agreed by the family. Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping contact details current and reviewing important messages concerning emergencies, closures, billing, health, or care arrangements.
Separate consent may be required for particular categories of information or uses, including certain health information and public photographs/videos.
SECTION 19
Subsidies, 無償化, Certificates, and Government Procedures
Where a family seeks childcare-fee support, 幼児教育・保育の無償化 (free early childhood education and care), municipal reimbursement, employer support, or another subsidy, eligibility is determined by the applicable government or program rules—not by MET-EIS alone.
MET-EIS may provide receipts, attendance information, certificates, or other documents that it is lawfully able and required to provide. The parent/guardian remains responsible for completing personal applications, meeting deadlines, supplying required family documentation, and confirming current eligibility conditions with the relevant authority.
MET-EIS does not guarantee that a family or a particular period of care will qualify for reimbursement or subsidy. If facility status, legal criteria, or government rules change, MET-EIS will update its procedures as reasonably necessary.
SECTION 20
Withdrawal, Refunds, Leave, and Changes to Care Arrangements
A parent/guardian who wishes to end recurring or regular childcare, change the agreed schedule, or request a leave of absence must follow the notice procedure stated in the applicable enrollment or fee policy.
Refunds, credits, remaining fees, and notice-period charges are determined by the applicable service agreement, the timing of the request, services already provided, and mandatory law. MET-EIS will not rely on a term that unlawfully removes a consumer right or imposes a charge prohibited by Japanese law.
One-time bookings, recurring temporary care, and regular childcare may have different cancellation and withdrawal rules. Families should review the service-specific rule before confirming a booking or enrollment.
SECTION 21
Suspension or Termination by MET-EIS
MET-EIS may suspend or terminate a childcare arrangement where reasonably necessary and lawful, including for serious or repeated non-payment, violence or threats, harassment, deliberate property damage, material falsification of safety information, repeated serious breach of facility rules, or circumstances in which safe service provision has become impracticable.
Where appropriate, MET-EIS will communicate the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to address it before termination. Immediate protective action may be taken when reasonably necessary to protect a child, other children, families, staff, property, or the facility.
Any refund or remaining payment obligation following suspension or termination will be determined under the applicable contract and mandatory law.
SECTION 22
Responsibility, Insurance, and Limits Permitted by Law
MET-EIS is responsible for performing its contractual and legal duties with reasonable care and for following applicable childcare, safety, and operational requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by Japanese law.
To the extent permitted by law, MET-EIS is not responsible for loss caused solely by inaccurate or withheld information supplied by a parent/guardian, prohibited items brought to the facility, actions of independent third parties outside MET-EIS’s reasonable control, or events beyond reasonable control.
Where accident or liability insurance applies, claims and benefits are subject to the relevant policy terms and facts of the incident. Insurance does not replace any responsibility that MET-EIS has under applicable law.
SECTION 23
Changes to Services or Terms, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution
MET-EIS may update these Terms or related service policies when reasonably necessary because of changes in law, regulatory guidance, facility operations, safety requirements, services, fees, technology, or administrative procedures.
Material changes affecting an existing family’s core contractual rights or fees will be handled with appropriate notice and agreement where required by the applicable contract or law. The current version will be published with its effective or last-updated date.
These Terms and MET-EIS childcare contracts are governed by the laws of Japan. If a concern arises, families are encouraged to contact MET-EIS first so the matter can be reviewed. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using lawful municipal, prefectural, consumer-affairs, mediation, court, or other dispute-resolution procedures. Court jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with applicable law and any legally valid agreement.

SECTION 08

If MET-EIS cancels confirmed paid care for a reason within its control, MET-EIS will provide an appropriate remedy under the applicable agreement and law, such as rescheduling, credit, or refund. Emergency closures and events outside reasonable control are addressed separately below.

MET-EIS may ask a family to keep a child at home, collect the child promptly, or obtain appropriate medical confirmation when reasonably necessary due to fever, vomiting, diarrhea, significant symptoms, suspected infectious disease, injury, unusual condition, or other health concerns, consistent with facility policy and applicable public-health guidance.
Parents/guardians must promptly inform MET-EIS of relevant diagnoses, infectious-disease exposure, changes in health status, or other information needed for safe childcare. The facility’s separate illness/infection-control agreement applies together with this section.
SECTION 11
Medication, Allergies, Food, and Dietary Safety
Parents/guardians must disclose all known allergies, food restrictions, medication needs, and other health information that may affect safe care. Information must be updated promptly when circumstances change.
Medication will be accepted or administered only under MET-EIS’s current medication procedure and within the facility’s lawful and operational capacity. Required written instructions, original packaging, dosage information, and/or medical documentation may be requested. MET-EIS may refuse to handle medication that cannot be safely or lawfully managed.
Where meals or snacks are provided or permitted, MET-EIS will take reasonable precautions based on information supplied by the family and the facility’s procedures. Unless expressly confirmed in writing, MET-EIS cannot guarantee an absolutely allergen-free environment.
SECTION 12
Emergency Care, Accidents, Injury, and Medical Response
If a child becomes seriously ill, is injured, or experiences another emergency, MET-EIS may take reasonable steps necessary to protect the child, including first aid, contacting the parent/guardian, calling emergency services, following emergency procedures, and cooperating with medical or public authorities.
Parents/guardians must maintain reachable emergency contacts and promptly update telephone numbers or authorized contacts. If an emergency contact cannot be reached, MET-EIS may continue to take reasonable action required for the child’s immediate safety.
Any separate emergency-treatment, medical-consent, accident-reporting, or insurance procedures apply together with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms authorizes treatment beyond what is permitted by law and the circumstances of the emergency.
SECTION 13
Earthquakes, Severe Weather, Disasters, and Facility Closures
MET-EIS may temporarily close, delay opening, shorten operating hours, suspend an activity, or change procedures when reasonably necessary because of earthquakes, tsunami risk, severe weather, fire, public-health emergencies, utility failure, building problems, government instructions, transport disruption, staff-safety issues, or another event affecting safe operation.
During an emergency, MET-EIS will prioritize children’s immediate safety and follow the facility’s disaster and emergency-response procedures. Parents/guardians must follow pickup, communication, evacuation, and reunification instructions issued for the event.
Fee treatment for an emergency closure will be determined according to the applicable enrollment agreement, the circumstances, and mandatory law. MET-EIS will communicate material closures or changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
SECTION 14
Child Safety, Supervision, Guidance, and Conduct
MET-EIS uses developmentally appropriate supervision, redirection, calm guidance, clear boundaries, and positive communication to support children’s safety and participation. Physical punishment, humiliating treatment, and other inappropriate discipline are not part of MET-EIS’s childcare approach.
Parents/guardians and visitors must follow reasonable facility safety rules, treat children and staff respectfully, and avoid threatening, violent, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or dangerously disruptive conduct.
If a child’s behavior presents a recurring safety concern, MET-EIS will, where practicable, discuss appropriate support with the family. Care arrangements may be reviewed if the facility cannot reasonably maintain safe care for the child or group within its staffing and operational capacity.
SECTION 15
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities and Accurate Information
Parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information relevant to the child’s care, including emergency contacts, authorized pickup persons, health information, allergies, dietary restrictions, developmental or support needs relevant to safety, and changes in family circumstances that affect collection or legal authority.
Parents/guardians must read and follow applicable facility notices and respond promptly when MET-EIS requests information reasonably required for safe care, legal compliance, billing, or government procedures.
If important information is intentionally withheld or materially inaccurate and this prevents safe service provision, MET-EIS may require revised care arrangements or suspend future care where reasonably necessary and lawful.
SECTION 16
Clothing, Personal Belongings, Supplies, and Lost Property
Children should arrive with clothing and supplies suitable for the planned care period, weather, toileting needs, rest, outdoor play, and activities, as communicated by MET-EIS. Items should be labeled where practical.
Parents/guardians should not send unnecessary valuables, dangerous items, medication outside the approved procedure, or belongings unsuitable for group childcare. MET-EIS may store or remove an item from a child’s reach when reasonably necessary for safety.
MET-EIS will take reasonable care of children’s belongings but cannot guarantee against ordinary loss, mix-up, wear, or damage inherent in group childcare. Any responsibility for loss caused by MET-EIS will be determined under applicable law and the circumstances.
SECTION 17
Photographs, Video, Audio, Names, and Parent Recording
Agreement to these Terms does not by itself authorize public promotional use of a child’s identifiable photograph, video, voice, name, work, or testimonial. Public website, social-media, advertising, or promotional use will be handled through separate consent where required.
MET-EIS may use photographs or records for legitimate internal childcare, documentation, safety, or family-communication purposes only in accordance with the Privacy Policy, applicable consent, and facility procedures.
Parents/guardians and visitors must not publicly post identifiable images, audio, or video of other children, families, or staff obtained at MET-EIS without appropriate permission.
SECTION 18
Privacy, Records, and Communications
Personal information is handled according to the MET-EIS 保育園 Privacy Policy and applicable Japanese privacy law. Childcare records may include attendance, emergency contacts, authorized pickup persons, health/allergy information, incident records, payment information, communications, and other information reasonably required for operation and safety.
MET-EIS may communicate by telephone, email, messaging service, website notice, written notice, or another method provided or agreed by the family. Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping contact details current and reviewing important messages concerning emergencies, closures, billing, health, or care arrangements.
Separate consent may be required for particular categories of information or uses, including certain health information and public photographs/videos.
SECTION 19
Subsidies, 無償化, Certificates, and Government Procedures
Where a family seeks childcare-fee support, 幼児教育・保育の無償化 (free early childhood education and care), municipal reimbursement, employer support, or another subsidy, eligibility is determined by the applicable government or program rules—not by MET-EIS alone.
MET-EIS may provide receipts, attendance information, certificates, or other documents that it is lawfully able and required to provide. The parent/guardian remains responsible for completing personal applications, meeting deadlines, supplying required family documentation, and confirming current eligibility conditions with the relevant authority.
MET-EIS does not guarantee that a family or a particular period of care will qualify for reimbursement or subsidy. If facility status, legal criteria, or government rules change, MET-EIS will update its procedures as reasonably necessary.
SECTION 20
Withdrawal, Refunds, Leave, and Changes to Care Arrangements
A parent/guardian who wishes to end recurring or regular childcare, change the agreed schedule, or request a leave of absence must follow the notice procedure stated in the applicable enrollment or fee policy.
Refunds, credits, remaining fees, and notice-period charges are determined by the applicable service agreement, the timing of the request, services already provided, and mandatory law. MET-EIS will not rely on a term that unlawfully removes a consumer right or imposes a charge prohibited by Japanese law.
One-time bookings, recurring temporary care, and regular childcare may have different cancellation and withdrawal rules. Families should review the service-specific rule before confirming a booking or enrollment.
SECTION 21
Suspension or Termination by MET-EIS
MET-EIS may suspend or terminate a childcare arrangement where reasonably necessary and lawful, including for serious or repeated non-payment, violence or threats, harassment, deliberate property damage, material falsification of safety information, repeated serious breach of facility rules, or circumstances in which safe service provision has become impracticable.
Where appropriate, MET-EIS will communicate the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to address it before termination. Immediate protective action may be taken when reasonably necessary to protect a child, other children, families, staff, property, or the facility.
Any refund or remaining payment obligation following suspension or termination will be determined under the applicable contract and mandatory law.
SECTION 22
Responsibility, Insurance, and Limits Permitted by Law
MET-EIS is responsible for performing its contractual and legal duties with reasonable care and for following applicable childcare, safety, and operational requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by Japanese law.
To the extent permitted by law, MET-EIS is not responsible for loss caused solely by inaccurate or withheld information supplied by a parent/guardian, prohibited items brought to the facility, actions of independent third parties outside MET-EIS’s reasonable control, or events beyond reasonable control.
Where accident or liability insurance applies, claims and benefits are subject to the relevant policy terms and facts of the incident. Insurance does not replace any responsibility that MET-EIS has under applicable law.
SECTION 23
Changes to Services or Terms, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution
MET-EIS may update these Terms or related service policies when reasonably necessary because of changes in law, regulatory guidance, facility operations, safety requirements, services, fees, technology, or administrative procedures.
Material changes affecting an existing family’s core contractual rights or fees will be handled with appropriate notice and agreement where required by the applicable contract or law. The current version will be published with its effective or last-updated date.
These Terms and MET-EIS childcare contracts are governed by the laws of Japan. If a concern arises, families are encouraged to contact MET-EIS first so the matter can be reviewed. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using lawful municipal, prefectural, consumer-affairs, mediation, court, or other dispute-resolution procedures. Court jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with applicable law and any legally valid agreement.
