Age categories: Under 3 = 18 months to under 3 years. Age 3+ = age 3 through elementary-school entry. Fee-tier changes are handled according to the enrollment agreement rather than being changed informally mid-month.

For new Regular Monthly Childcare enrollment, the first payment is the selected monthly tuition plus the one-time ¥11,000 Enrollment Fee, the applicable annual Materials & English Program Fee, and the ¥6,600 annual Facility Maintenance Fee.

Temporary Childcare
Flexible care when you need it
Choose One-Time / Occasional Temporary Childcare for isolated or irregular dates, or Recurring Temporary Childcare when your family has a fixed repeating childcare schedule confirmed in advance. All temporary childcare is subject to available space, safe staffing, required child information, and advance confirmation by MET-EIS.
Standard temporary rate
One-Time / Occasional
This service is for a single reservation, irregular dates, or childcare booked only when needed. The rate is ¥1,300 per reserved hour and is the same for Under-3 and Age-3+ children.
- No fixed repeating weekly schedule.
- Dates may change from month to month.
- Several unrelated dates booked in advance do not automatically qualify as recurring care.
No enrollment fee, registration fee, annual materials fee, or separate Facility Maintenance Fee applies.
Reserved-schedule rate
Recurring Temporary
This service may be used when the family has a fixed repeating childcare schedule confirmed in advance, such as every Wednesday or every Tuesday and Thursday.
- Dates and usual hours are confirmed in advance.
- MET-EIS has capacity and safe staffing for the repeating schedule.
- Required child, emergency, health, allergy, and pickup information is complete.
- The arrangement remains Recurring Temporary Childcare and does not constitute Regular Monthly Childcare enrollment.

The published childcare rates below are unchanged. Rates are charged per confirmed reserved day. The one-time Registration Fee and annual Materials & English Program Fee are charged separately. There is no separate Facility Maintenance Fee for this service.

Cancellation & Schedule Changes
One-Time / Occasional Childcare
Cancellation by the end of the previous business day: no childcare cancellation charge.
Same-day cancellation: 50% of the reserved childcare fee.
No notice / no-show: 100% of the reserved childcare fee.
Recurring Temporary Childcare
Once the confirmed recurring reservation schedule is established, the reserved schedule is billed as agreed. Ordinary absences do not automatically reduce the confirmed recurring fee. Schedule changes apply prospectively and must be requested by MET-EIS’s stated schedule-change deadline. All changes remain subject to availability, safe staffing, and MET-EIS approval.
Meals: An ordered lunch may still be charged if the supplier has already charged MET-EIS.

Extensions are subject to staffing and approval. The included handover window is not scheduled extra childcare.

A simple, step-by-step enrollment process
We want families to know what happens before the first day. Enrollment or registration is confirmed only after the required information is sufficiently complete and MET-EIS can safely accept the requested care schedule.
STEP 01
Inquiry & Visit
Tell us your child’s age, preferred schedule, and desired start date. Visit the school if arranged.
STEP 02
Choose a Plan
Choose Regular Monthly Childcare, Recurring Temporary Childcare, or One-Time / Occasional Temporary Childcare. We confirm the correct age fee tier, applicable charges, and current availability.
STEP 03
Receive the Registration / Enrollment Pack
We explain the required forms, conditional documents, payment method, parent supplies, and important policies for the service you will use.
STEP 04
Submit Child, Health & Consent Information
Return the child record, emergency contacts, health/food information, agreements, consents, and other applicable documents.
STEP 05
Agreement & Billing Setup
Review and sign the applicable service agreement and fee memorandum. Regular Monthly families complete enrollment billing; Recurring Temporary families complete registration and recurring-schedule billing.
STEP 06
Final Confirmation & Orientation
MET-EIS confirms capacity, staffing, safety information, start date, supplies, arrival/pick-up and daily routines.
STEP 07
Start Care
Bring your child and required supplies, hand your child directly to staff, and begin the confirmed program.

Important Fee Policies
Before you enroll or register, please know these rules
Regular Monthly Childcare Payment
Monthly tuition is paid in advance by the 1st of each month. The monthly tuition secures the child’s regular place for the confirmed program. A one-time ¥11,000 Enrollment Fee applies when Regular Monthly Childcare begins. The annual Materials & English Program Fee is ¥4,400 for Under-3 children and ¥6,600 for Age-3+ children. The annual Facility Maintenance Fee is ¥6,600.
Recurring Temporary Childcare Payment
Recurring Temporary Childcare is charged according to the confirmed recurring reservation schedule and the published per-day rates. A one-time ¥5,500 Registration Fee applies when the recurring arrangement begins. The annual Materials & English Program Fee is ¥2,200 for Under-3 children and ¥3,300 for Age-3+ children. There is no separate Facility Maintenance Fee.
One-Time / Occasional Temporary Childcare Payment
One-Time / Occasional Temporary Childcare is charged at ¥1,300 per reserved hour. There is no enrollment fee, registration fee, annual materials fee, or separate Facility Maintenance Fee.
Absences
Ordinary absence, family travel, and short-term illness are not normally prorated. Missed days do not automatically transfer to another day. Recurring Temporary Childcare follows its confirmed reservation and cancellation rules.
Program Changes
Changes are subject to availability, safe staffing and approval. The new rate applies from the approved effective date.
Withdrawal / Ending a Recurring Arrangement
Regular Monthly withdrawal requires written notice according to the signed enrollment agreement. Recurring Temporary schedule cancellation or ending the arrangement follows the applicable service agreement and confirmed schedule-change rules. MET-EIS will confirm the final care date and final account.
Childcare-Fee Support
MET-EIS 保育園 is currently not eligible for the 無償化 (mushōka) program. Families are responsible for the childcare fees shown on this page. Any separate government or municipal support should be confirmed directly with the relevant authority.
Acceptance
Regular Monthly Childcare, Recurring Temporary Childcare, and One-Time / Occasional Temporary Childcare are accepted only when capacity, staffing, health/safety information and required documents are sufficient for safe care.
General Fee Rule
Enrollment fees, registration fees, annual program fees, facility maintenance fees, childcare charges, and optional usage-based charges are separate charges unless specifically stated as included. MET-EIS explains the applicable charges before the childcare arrangement begins. No mandatory fee should be treated as included unless this page or the applicable agreement expressly says it is included.
